#1 Table Runner
On my recent trip to Lajpat, I saw these everywhere. They cost upwards 400 bucks for the basic ones, and that’s when I thought why not make one yourself, with some fabric more beautiful in possession already? Its a fancy decor idea which you can do when guests come over. Looks really really elegant.
#2 Lamp Shade
Now, before you jump and tell me this is not a saree…I agree. But the point is, the same can be done using a saree fabric. All you need is a good looking fabric and a glue gun. That’s it. Lampshades cost a bomb if you buy from malls and premium home decor stores, so this is a good way to spice up an old lampshade. Just buy one from the flea market and jazz it up.
#3 Palazzo Pants
Seen all those printed palazzos in stores? Well, now you can up it a notch by cutting out a gorgeous old silk saree into a pair of palazzos. Team it up with a nice kurti and you will have one hell of a ethnic wear.
#4 Tapestry
This is one of the harder options to implement with sarees. But nevertheless it can be done. If you have a silk saree in Kantha, or something which has a elaborate story design on it, then you can cut it out to be a rectangle and add additional borders and make a corner of your room look super pretty.
#5 Decorative Potli
Have some old brocade saree in your closet? Now, you know exactly what to do with it. Add some latkans to the strings for added awesomeness.
#6 Reuse Saree as a dupatta
This ones easy, and is one of the best ways to reuse saree’s. You can team it up with any regular outfit and it will instantly lift up the look.
